THE MODERATOR: English questions.

Q. Congratulations. Jannik, you said clay is not necessarily the surface you feel the most comfortable and you didn't know exactly what to expect. You looked pretty strong today. How did you feel?

JANNIK SINNER: Yeah, I'm very happy to be back on court. I think me and Sebi, we have two game styles which are very similar in one way, and also, we have quite flat shots.

Today was very important trying to move the ball around. Was not necessary to play with the heights of the ball but more about the movement. So I consider this as a very good win, because it was a tough match. You know, you see the scoreline, but, you know, the match is a little bit different.

I'm just happy, and hopefully I can still improve in the next days feeling even more comfortable with this surface and with my movement. Then we'll see how it goes.

Q. Was it easier to adjust to the clay than before, than last year, for example?

JANNIK SINNER: I think it's, I won't say easier, but for sure the physicality, I have grown, and especially on this surface can help a lot. If you feel more confident, then stronger physically.

I wouldn't say that it was easier, but I got a little bit faster to the point where I would like to be. For sure I'm not where I want to be, but for sure we are trying to build on, in the next days and in the next weeks, trying to feel more comfortable.
