Augusta, Georgia, USA
Quick Quotes
Q. First and foremost, how amazing of an experience is it to play in the par-3?
SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah, no, it's great. Obviously it's a huge tradition here at Augusta and it's always fun and the course is just unbelievable. So always a lot of fun and some great memories.
Q. Knowing how much success you've had here at Augusta National, looking forward to tomorrow and knowing the course conditions are going to change, are these conversations you're having with your caddie about maybe certain holes you prepare for a little bit differently knowing that the conditions are going to change?
SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah, I mean, you never know. Obviously, it looks like it's going to rain quite a bit and, yeah, that would make the course play a little bit different than it's been playing the last couple of days. But, yeah, you talk about it a little bit and some different things that you can do here and there, but at the end of the day it's still about, it's all about hitting the shots. So it's, you know, as simple and as difficult as that. So you just got to try to do the best there.
Q. Are there any holes in particular that come to mind when it comes to knowing that the weather could impact them a little different?
SERGIO GARCIA: I mean, it's going to impact every single hole, but obviously you think about holes like 5, 11, 10, 11, those kind of holes -- 18 -- tough holes that are long holes that you're not going to get any run and it's going to become quite tricky. So, but we'll see, we'll see how the weather is and we'll deal with it.
Q. With the wind as forecast, gusts up to 35 to 40 miles an hour the next two days, how much does that amplify the unpredictability out here?
SERGIO GARCIA: Well, yes, there's no doubt with as high as these pine trees are, it becomes, sometimes it becomes tricky to know exactly where the wind is. I think when it blows a little bit harder it's actually, it's not easier, but it's, you can kind of guess it a little bit better because it's more consistent. If it's switching all the time, then it becomes a little bit trickier. But if it's consistently blowing one way, at least you know more or less what it's doing. But then on a course like this, where you have to be so precise in every single shot that you hit, when you play with that amount of wind, it becomes very, very challenging.
Q. You're playing with Ryan Fox tomorrow. Obviously he'll be looking forward to playing with you. Do you know about Ryan? What can you tell us about him?
SERGIO GARCIA: Of course. I mean, he's played on the European Tour for many, many years, and I was there, too. Yeah, he's a wonderful player. Really, really nice guy. I know him a little bit. Long hitter, obviously. He's been playing very, very solidly for a few years now, so I'm sure he's excited about it and I am too.
Q. You're both playing with José MarÃa. At the moment he's probably brushing up on his Spanish tomorrow.
SERGIO GARCIA: There you go. We'll test it tomorrow. (Laughing).
