Q. How do you feel heading into this edition of the Masters?

SHANE LOWRY: Good, yeah. I mean, obviously this is like really nice on the Wednesday afternoon to kind of get your mind away from what's ahead.

It's going to be four days of, you know, mental battle. Yeah, I think I'm ready. I prepared as best I can. I'm excited for the next few days.

Q. Sorry to remind you of the mental battle, but I'm going to talk about the weather conditions. Going to get some rain for sure. Wind, 35-mile-per-hour gusts forecasted for both days; consistent 20 to 25.

SHANE LOWRY: Okay.

Q. How do you redefine patience on this golf course with that much wind?

SHANE LOWRY: To be honest, I didn't even know that. Obviously the rain first tomorrow, I have a later tee time so it's probably pretty good. I am going to know what the weather is doing and if there will be delays or anything.

Yeah, as regards the wind, you just have to pick your wind, your shot, and hit it. It's kind of in the lap of the gods then. You need to be in control of it, and when you get out of position you just need to make sure your worst score is a bogey.

I think that's kind of the way you need to play this course. I'll be ready for it. I'm sure everybody will be ready for the course. Yeah, certain times where if the wind is like that that you might hit good shots and not get rewarded. You have to take it on the chin and move on.

Q. We hear the wind when it blows here in these pines it swirls a lot. Does that make it much for unpredictable?

SHANE LOWRY: Yeah, when the wind is swirling here it's very hard. Sounds like going to be a tricky Masters and scoring is going to be quite difficult. I don't mind that. Ready for the challenge.
