Q. You knew it was going to be a tough match. What was the game plan against Sei Young Kim?
LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, I played with Sei Young yesterday, so I knew she was playing well. I suppose in afternoon matches people get a little bit tired and things like that, so it was just a case of keeping it tight, hitting a lot of fairways and greens, and just trying to be steady.
I did a good job of that today.
Q. When did you fall in love with this format?
LEONA MAGUIRE: I guess when you grow up with a twin sister you're all pretty competitive. We were always competing against each other, playing little matches.
Yeah, match play is a lot of fun. It's even more fun around this golf course, and excited that I get one more day around here.
Q. Do you know who you're going to be playing? Were you looking at the leaderboards?
LEONA MAGUIRE: Assuming it's Nelly.
Q. It is Nelly. What are your thoughts going up against a player in that kind of form?
LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, she's the best player in the world right now. She's arguably playing the best golf of her career and it's going to be one hell of a challenge.
It's exciting. That's been the theme of the week, is to embrace the challenge of the golf course and embrace whatever challenge Nelly brings tomorrow.
Q. What does it take to beat a player like that? Do you concentrate on the way she's playing or do you concentrate on the golf course?
LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, ultimately you're going to have to play some really good golf. You are just going to have to go out and shoot a score, and if it's good enough it's good enough.
For me yeah, Nelly is obviously the heavy favorite tomorrow. I have nothing to lose, so kind of go out with some freedom and just try and play as well as I can.
Q. And does this golf course -- taking on Nelly obviously excites you because I know you want to take on a player like that. What is the dynamic on a golf course like this?
LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, obviously her length is an advantage around here. She'll be able to take on some of the carries that I won't. I guess I'll just stick to my game plan and plot my way around.
It was good enough in stroke play, so we'll see if it's good enough tomorrow.
