Q. You've had a couple opportunities to win out here, gotten really close a few times. How much would it mean to break through tomorrow and get that first LIV win?

MATT WOLFF: Yeah, it would mean a lot. I think winning is really hard to do, and anytime you have the opportunity to be in contention or win is definitely something to be proud of and stuff. I have been close a couple times, but really do feel like my game is coming around and also feel like more than anything, upstairs is getting a little better. I think that's honestly the key to I want to say myself. I know I have a lot of talent, and I know I can hit the ball just as good as about anyone out here. Between the ears has always kind of been my struggle. I think I'm just getting in a little bit of a better place, realizing that golf is extremely important, but I'm doing everything I can and I'm trying my best every single round. It's only going to make it worse if you beat yourself up.

I'm just looking to stick to what I did the first two days. It was really cool to play with Bubba today. He didn't really have his best stuff, but he's definitely someone I admire playing with and stuff because I feel like if the roles were reversed and I was in that situation, I would have been kind of losing it. It's cool to see that, and I know we've talked about that quite a bit, about just what it means to be out here and be a RangeGoat and be on a team and have people care about you and stuff, and it's pretty special. More than anything, I want to win, but I also want to win as a team.

Fortunately I think we have the chance to do that, so hopefully we can get it done.

Q. Before we came here to LIV, had you ever played this course?

MATT WOLFF: I haven't, no. The first time was at LIV. I lived in Jupiter since I turned pro, but I hadn't played it. But it's a really good golf course. Fortunately for me, I hit the ball far, so it helps. But regardless of hitting the ball far, you also have to put the ball in the fairway, and I've been able to do that the first couple days, so I think I'm trying to focus on that tomorrow, as well.

Q. How much better of a golfer mentally are you now, especially in the mix in a final round versus when you first came out? Obviously you had some kind of immediate success. Do you feel like you can manage the final round better now than in those years?

MATT WOLFF: Yeah, absolutely. I think I've been in this situation quite a bit so every single time I've been in it, I've tried to learn from it and learn maybe where I might have messed up in the past or decisions that I made on the golf course. But more than anything, it's not the nerves. It's like I've been in this situation before. I won a bunch in college. I won on the PGA TOUR. I know I can do it. It's more just kind of rolling with the punches and knowing that the day might not go exactly as you planned, but all you can do is try to do your best on every single shot, and like I said earlier in this interview, all you can do is give it your best because at the end of the day you don't really have control of a lot of things out here. Instead of getting frustrated and stuff, I think it's about just kind of sticking with it and seeing where it falls at the end of the day.

Golf, especially on this golf course, all it takes is one hole, and it can be a completely different story.

Q. Have you lifted, celebrated with the champagne yet since you've been on LIV?

MATT WOLFF: No, I haven't. I think I finished -- we finished on the podium -- I have finished on the podium as a team before, but I think the times that I did it, they only had the first place team go up and spray champagne.

Q. Have you envisioned that at all?

MATT WOLFF: I mean, maybe a little bit. No, not really. I think for me, it's more lifting the trophies. The champagne is great and stuff, but being up there with maybe the team and stuff. But I think at the end of the day, I don't really want to look too far ahead and look at the trophy. I just want to go out there and play the best that I can and give it my all. At the end of the day, whatever happens will happen.

Q. Speaking of the team, how much would it mean for the RangeGoats to win, given the switching of the lineups in the off-season and you and Peter coming to the RangeGoats and proving that Bubba made the right decision bringing you guys in?

MATT WOLFF: It would mean a lot. Obviously Bubba believes a loss in us, which I can't ask for anything more from a captain, someone I look up to.

I don't think we listen to much of what other people say anyways. I think we're all very confident in our games, and I know on any given day we can go out there and beat every single player.

I think that kind of -- broken record at this point, but I think we're going to go out there and give it our best, and at the end of the day if we're lifting the trophy, that's great.

But one thing that I've learned is you can kind of press a little too much in certain situations when you're in the final group on the final day and when you have a chance to take a lead and you feel like you need to press, where I feel like almost -- it's not that you don't need to be aggressive and play with -- try to make birdies and stuff, but you just need to keep on doing what you're doing and play the way you know how to play.

I think if you're chasing the trophy so much, it can get intense and stuff, as opposed to just chasing the same thing that we did the first two days, putting the ball in the fairway and giving ourselves looks and from there it's all taking care of itself. I think we're just going to try and stick and focus on that.
