Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Jennifer Song. Good round out there today, but there one shot that happened out there today. Tell me about the ace on 14.
JENNIFER SONG: Yeah, I had 158 to the flag and the wind was kind of blowing right to left from behind. I was trying to decide whether I should hit a solid 8 or controlled 7. I'm like, you know what, I got to make something happen, so I'm like I'll just hit the shorter one because greens were firming up in the afternoon.
So just hit a really solid 8 and it just went in the hole.
Q. What was the reaction? Did you and your caddie freak out at all?
JENNIFER SONG: We just did a lot of the high fives. I think that was the first time I actually saw my ball go in the hole. That was my 10th hole in one, and the other ones I couldn't see it. This one was like crystal clear, so it was pretty cool to see it.
Q. 10th hole in one in career or on tour?
JENNIFER SONG: Career.
Q. Do you know how many you've made on the LPGA?
JENNIFER SONG: I don't know, maybe like four.
Q. Okay.
JENNIFER SONG: Yeah.
Q. So with that ace, I know you're a veteran so you know the $20,000 donation that goes to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. How cool it to, yes, have an ace in a tournament, but to make that donation to such a good cause?
JENNIFER SONG: I think it's amazing. I think we're always really proud to support for a good cause, and I think it's going to help a lot of people, so I'm really happy about that.
Q. I know obviously going to be watching the cut line this afternoon. To have a round like you did today with a shot like that, how much confidence does that give you?
JENNIFER SONG: Actually gave me a lot of confidence because I kind of felt -- I only had nine GIRs yesterday, so I was not really, really confident over my shots.
But today I hit a lot of great shots out there, so hopefully I make the cute. I think I'm right on the line, so we will see how things go.
Q. Are you going to do anything to celebrate the ace? Tradition is buying drinks. But I don't know if there is anything else.
JENNIFER SONG: I guess I'll buy some drinks for my group.
