Quick Quotes
Q. Pajaree, a 63 yesterday. Always hard to kind of get the nerves to calm down after a day like that. Walk me through what day two was like for you.
PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: Obviously it was a very good day yesterday. I started out pretty good. I birdied the first hole. I hit a good shot on the second, approach shot, and made that birdie putt.
Going on, it was actually a decent day out there. I played some really good shots and some not so good, but I accept it and just kind of keep moving forward.
Q. When you accept it and move forward, what do you think of mentally to kind of reset yourself after something like No. 6?
PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: I think it was -- it's like we're always learning. Every shot we hit out here or every single time that their miss, I consider it as like it's a learning lesson. I try to.
It's easier said than done for sure.
But I just try to like take away from the mistake and just learn from it.
Q. Still in contention on a course that a lot of people have been going low. What are you focusing on heading into this weekend?
PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: Obviously a bunch of low numbers. I think I just really try to play my game and try to give myself a lot of birdie opportunities, and obviously trying to -- especially on the par-5s. Most of them are reachable when it's in the afternoon. It's nice and warm today and hopefully tomorrow, so we'll try to give myself some birdie opportunities.
Q. And I know I just caught the picture from today. Playing alongside Yani Tseng, just explain and tell us about her impact that she has had on you in your career.
PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: So I watch her growing up playing and she has been dominating everything. Every since I remember she keeps winning everything.
It's fun to watch how, you know, like a pro golf that I one day wanted to be out here and I was actually able to play alongside her for the first time for two days.
So it was very exciting I was very glad that I got to know her like in person. I think she's really, really sweet girl.
Q. What were the thoughts when you looked at the tee sheet and saw you would be paired with her?
PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: Exciting. Again, like I never play with her before and I watch her growing up, so it's -- I can say it's a dream come true. She's one of the person that I look up to, so it's nice to be able to one day that I get to play with her.
