Q. I'm alongside two players that provided a lot of electricity out there today. Got to start with you, Lexi, with that dramatic finish. 9-iron in the hole from 135. Perfect yardage or what came together on this shot?

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, happy we're going to talk about that shot. Yeah, ended up being a pretty good number I guess. Had 141 and with the cold and little bit of downwind kind of canceled and just hit a good 9-iron, was going at it, hoping for a birdie putt, so definitely ended up being a bonus.

Q. We all know how crazy golf can be, and it was a bit of a rollercoaster for you. A few bogeys, but two eagles. You became the first player this year to have two eagles in the same round, so that says something. How do you keep yourself fighting? You made some great up and downs just to keep your head in the game.

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, golf is such a mental sport. I was definitely struggling on a stretch there. I think I lipped out so many little putts, but just tried to stay patient.

No, it was having some good swings out there. So golf is a crazy game, anything can happen, so just try to stay in the moment. Very happy I had the two eagles thankfully. Jeez. (Laughing.)

Q. You both had some dramatic shots on the back nine. Four birdies for you. We talked about how you're at a place now where your schoolwork is behind you, you can focus on golf. Where are you at mentally with your golf game, and physically for that matter?

ROSE ZHANG: Yeah, I feel like after I finished this entire quarter, I just finished yesterday, so I'm super glad that's behind me and I can now kind of focus on my golf game.

I do think there is a couple rusty areas where I want to work on, and it's just because I haven't been as consistent with the practice when I was back at school.

So with that in mind, if I'm able to work a little bit more and keep my head in the more golf mindset, I'm excited to see what I'm able to do coming forward.

Q. How much of an advantage is it to have played this golf course numerous times in college, and won here? You won last spring at this golf course, as an amateur.

ROSE ZHANG: I know. Last year being here it was definitely a little bit of a different experience. I was with my teammates, hanging out with so many other players that I saw from different colleges.

Coming back here just holds so many good memories. I just remember being with my team. We always wave on every single hole once we finish out if we see them behind.

It does make me think a little bit about how fun college was, especially college events. But, yeah, all good mems from here.
