Quick Quotes
Q. 4-under, what did you like about your round today. I just stayed patient out there. It's a really tough course, my first timeout here, and that Snake Pit, it's no joke. So really happy to shoot 4-under today and, yeah.
Q. You mentioned tournament debut here. Was just Tuesday, once your first time seeing the course?
RICO HOEY: Yeah, I mean I played the Monday pro-am and then played on Tuesday, the course is just getting firmer and faster. The rough seems to be, I think they forgot to cut some of it, so I thought it's pretty thick out there. But, yeah, just trying to keep the ball ahead of me and well see how it goes this week.
Q. Now with a round under your belt, what's kind of the keys to navigating it, like the Snake Pit?
RICO HOEY: Keeping the ball in front of me. Tomorrow I think we're going to have some rain, so I think I'm going to have to adjust a little bit. Not sure how that's going to affect, but, yeah I'm just going to try to keep hitting fairways and middle of the green. If you hit it in the middle of the green you're going to have a putt or a look, so that's kind of my main goal out here.
Q. Now until mid March a couple starts and where are you feeling most confident with your game?
RICO HOEY: I think everything's kind of coming together a little bit. I'm still going my feet wet out here. I think it's being out here everything's so grand and just playing with the best of the best, I am just working hard and just trying to get better each and every day. So I think overall I think I'm doing everything pretty good, but I'm just one step at a time for me, so.
