Quick Quotes
Q. Can you just recap and let us know what your takeaways were from it?
KEVIN YU: Yeah, just my putting feels pretty good today. The back nine, a couple of tee shots were off line, cost me a little bit. But just got quite a bit up-and-downs on the course, but yeah, overall it's a good solid day. Irons were good, putting solid, so just got to keep it up tomorrow.
Q. You had an eagle on your ninth hole. Can you talk us through that hole?
KEVIN YU: Yeah, I hit a good driver, and then I think I had 254 to the hole. I hit a pretty good cut 3-wood and then rolled up perfectly to 20, 25 feet, and made the putt.
Q. The Bear Trap can play pretty tough, but 5, 6 and 7 are another tough stretch. Can you speak to how that played today?
KEVIN YU: It was playing a little harder today. When we got to 15, it started blowing a little bit, so I think it's definitely playing a little harder than the morning, just because those pins you just have to play defense. I was just trying to play defense all day, hit the greens and try to two-putt from there. Pars there are pretty good.
Obviously got pretty lucky making eagle on 18, but it was definitely playing difficult today.
Q. If the wind picks up, what can change about those holes?
KEVIN YU: Just certain numbers -- we kind of got blocked by the stage over there, so sometimes you can't really feel the wind. Those greens and holes are designed -- it's not easy. Those are just not easy holes. You have to play defense. You can kind of go for it, but most of the time you kind of have to play defense. They're just difficult holes.
