THE MODERATOR: Can you describe your thoughts after the match.

CAROLINE GARCIA: Yeah, I mean, it was a tough match. You know, it was played on a few points, first set and second set.

I was in control at the beginning of the match and lost this control beginning at 5-4, and then unfortunately she got the good opportunity and play better and better.

Yeah, it was just played on a few points here and there.

THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. I think today you have more break opportunities than Naomi, and maybe...

CAROLINE GARCIA: I don't know. You tell me (smiling).

Q. So what do you think the biggest difference is compared to the previous matchup in terms of, like, your serve or Naomi's serve or your return? Can you talk about that?

CAROLINE GARCIA: Oh, I think the condition are completely different than the one in the Australian Open. The court is not at all the same. The ball speed is not the same either.

I can't really say exactly what also difference. I do believe I served better in Australia than today, especially on the big point and the important point.

To be honest, right now, right after the match, I'm not in my clearest mindset, but I don't know if she serve better today as in Australian Open, but every time I had a breakpoint opportunity I was very accurate on my shot and I was able to take this opportunity in Australia, and today I was not. I remember that she saved a few breakpoint very, very well today and been aggressive on this one and I couldn't do anything.

Yeah, I mean, obviously the first set, to not be able to finish it at 5-4, it made the match completely different for both of us, but yeah, same as Australia, it was played on very few point, and on those point she was a better player today.
