Q. A blemish on the last but otherwise all good today, a round of 64. What satisfied you most?
CAMERON YOUNG: I putted fantastic. I made a couple long ones yesterday and then made a few more today that those had no right going in I feel like. I hit a bunch of good putts but just one of those days where you kind of have a couple 30-footers and you look up and they are going right in the middle, which doesn't happen all that often to have a bunch of them in one round. But really nicely and putted great.
Q. As a top player, what is the mentality that you take to keep a round going in terms of staying out of your own way when there's birdies flowing?
CAMERON YOUNG: Yeah, I'm doing a really good job of doing just what you said, staying out of my own way. Kind of realized it was going well early but the back nine, at the same time, it feels like you should do that to some extent, especially in the morning with not much wind.
So yeah, I feel like the back nine, I just playing really solidly, and then made a putt on 1. Made a putt on 4, and all of a sudden, that was the heat or something. Just one of those days that they kept kind of going in, and I didn't make too many mistakes.
Q. Across all the courses you play all around the world and primarily on the PGA TOUR, you see a lot of different ones, how different is the challenge between the front nine and the back nine on this one?
CAMERON YOUNG: It is different. There's just more scoring holes on the back. The front nine, I think there's a couple more tricky tee shots. Really, 5 and 6 and 8 I think are the hard ones.
And then 2, I totally butchered two days in a row. That's like one of your opportunities on the front and I've hit bad drives both days. It's just different. The front nine is a little bit less comfortable, and there's just not as many scorable holes.
Q. The commentary guys have been heaping praise on the beautiful golf swing you've got and the lovely pause at the top. Where did that originate from?
CAMERON YOUNG: The pause, yeah, it's kind of been there for the most part for a while. I've tried to get rid of it a few times. It doesn't work when I do. So it's staying for now. But yeah, I mean, the tempo and rhythm is definitely working all the time. If you look on the range, there's really nobody out there that doesn't look like they aren't in balance in their own tempo. It's just kind of one of the things you've got to do out here.
