Q. Grayson, you make a birdie in regulation to get into a playoff. I heard your caddie out there say to you hitting your third shot, show me something, and you did. What did you show yourself today?
GRAYSON MURRAY: That a lot of hard work pays off. It's not easy, you know. I want to give up a lot of times, give up on myself, give up on the game of golf, give up on life at times.
Just persevere, and when you get tired of fighting let someone else fight for you. That's what happened.
Q. How important is the work that you have done off the golf course battling alcoholism, mental struggles? How important was that for you to be in the right frame of mind today?
GRAYSON MURRAY: It's everything. Jesus Christ is first and foremost. Without him, none of his would be possible. He has just given me a platform to write a new story, write my own story.
I hope everyone there at home watching can get a little inspiration from me. If I just help one person, that's all it takes.
Q. Final thing. You're now in all the Signature Events for this year. Make your first appearance at Augusta National, PLAYERS, PGA Championship. How impactful is this win for you in your career?
GRAYSON MURRAY: It's a lot for me career. I knew today was not going to change my life. My fiancée changed my life, Jesus Christ changed my life. Today wasn't going to change my life, but it did change my career a little bit, and I'm excited.
