Q. It got tight down the stretch. You hit a wonderful shot on 17 that ultimately was the difference. Mentally and emotionally, what were you able to do so well to get this job done?

CHRIS KIRK: Just kind of kept reminding myself of no matter how I felt, no matter how nervous I was, there was nothing really stopping me from hitting great shots, hitting great putts, and I was able to kind of remind myself of that before every shot and that one on 17 I'll remember for a long time.

Q. Great shot. Winning the very first event of the season, how much optimism does that give you now for the remainder of 2024?

CHRIS KIRK: It's unreal. It's just so unexpected. I had a great, I had a really great off-season and I got a lot of good work done and felt good about the year, but you never really expect to go shoot 29-under. Yeah, it's unbelievable. Still kind of soaking it in.

Q. You work on being a great golfer, but you also worked in the last few years of being a great father, a great husband, a great man. How has that harmony off the golf course benefited you on the golf course?

CHRIS KIRK: It's everything. I'm certainly trying. It's an amazing life that I've lived and I'm so thankful for these last five years or so, it's been incredible, I'm so thankful for my wife, Tahnee, she's been unbelievable, my boys, Sawyer, Foster, Wilder, I love you so much, this is for you.

Q. Finally, where do you want to go in 2024 with your game?

CHRIS KIRK: Wherever it takes me. I'm just enjoying competing, I'm enjoying the work, I love, I didn't have that for awhile and to be back to loving what I do, I love the process of working to be the best player that I can when I'm working on that, and then, like you said, working on being as good of a father and husband as I can when I'm off the golf course. It's a constant process and I'm just loving every minute of it.
