Quick Quotes
Q. Finally joined now by Polly Mack after her fifth rounds here at Q-Series. What has this week kind of been like for you?
POLLY MACK: Feels forever honestly. I mean, feels like we've been here three weeks already because we had that rain day. But I'm comfortable here. I mean, I know Alabama, I know the state, and, yeah, I've been here two times before at this event. Or two years beforehand.
So it's okay. It's going. It's a marathon. We just got to keep a cool head and keep going.
Q. Coming off your 2023 rookie season on the LPGA Tour, what was that like for you, your season as a whole, and what did you maybe learn about yourself?
POLLY MACK: A lot. I mean, there is just so many new things out there that you got to get used to. It's been an amazing year; so much that I've learned; a lot of traveling about.
Playing more professionally since I've -- I still feel like I'm very new to this in a professional way.
But I loved it. It was awesome. The courses are amazing. Great shape. Yeah, I find that I can still do better and I see so many great things from the other girls out there that I'm like, okay, I think I can pick up on that, too.
Yeah, it's been super fun. I loved it.
Q. Right up there, in very good position to re-earn your card for next season. What's the nerve level and the mindset as we head into tomorrow? Feels like we been here for weeks.
POLLY MACK: I mean, I was pretty relaxed, especially today, too. But you feel the nerves in the evening when you're going bed, you know, how many rounds you got left, but with this round today I feel like I can relax a little.
I know my game is in a good spot. I'm happy with it. I know my putting went well today. Where left a couple out there yesterday, I holed a couple more today, so I think everything is trending in the right direction. Yeah, so everything is good so far.
Q. Last one about your game. You've steadily gotten better, better, back-to-back bogey-free rounds. What is it about your game that's really clicking right now?
POLLY MACK: I don't know if it's clicking, but in the beginning was struggling to really get the putts in the hole, and right now I just feel very confident.
My caddie is doing a great job keeping me calm and giving me great advice on what to do to just keep my head in the right way, you know.
And so, yeah, started holing putts and that just makes a big difference out here I guess. Everybody is playing great, but what it really comes down to is making the putts in the end, I guess, yes.
