Q. All right, Ssu-Chia, so 6-under round here at the LPGA Q-Series 2023. Talk about your round today. How were you feeling out there? How did the Epson Tour season prepare you for the first round today?

SSU-CHIA CHENG: I mean, it's been pretty good season. I finish like 22nd on Money List. Obviously we all want to finish in top 10. You get into better category into LPGA.

I think the season prepare me pretty well going into this week for the Q-Series, and obviously today it's just really, really solid round out there. I hit like a lot of good approaching shots and made a lot of good putts.

My caddie help me a lot on the green just reading the putts, so it's been great day today.

Q. (Plane interference.) Epson Tour season that you took into Q-Series this week?

SSU-CHIA CHENG: I think playing on the Epson Tour, I mean, like you got to be really great player and also you got to be like really consistent. I think that will be a big thing for the Q-Series because it's like six rounds. You just got to perform good every single day. So I think that's the big thing for me, yeah.

Q. You mentioned the six rounds. Almost double the normal Epson tournament.

SSU-CHIA CHENG: Yeah.

Q. How do you mentally and physically prepare for almost two tournaments in one this week?

SSU-CHIA CHENG: I'm just trying to take it easy out here. I've been putting a lot of hard work like couple weeks before this, and this week out here I'm just trying to just like get myself ready for the week, and like in the practice round just trying to take a lot of notes on the course and try not to like overwork myself out there.

You know, it's like marathon for this week, so...

Q. And then a little bit chillier weather than usual.

SSU-CHIA CHENG: Right.

Q. Anything you do special to prepare if you know it's going to on colder out there, or you just to have embrace it and just go with it?

SSU-CHIA CHENG: Yeah, so I actually went back home for a month like few weeks ago and then just bring back a lot of winter clothes and a lot of like winter gear and hand warmers, a lot of stick-on hand warmers. Just trying to stay warm out here.
