THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. How frustrating was that, that match?

JORDAN THOMPSON: As frustrating can be. Playing Davis Cup quarterfinal, I've got great memories on that court, and now I've got one bad one.

Yeah, that's a 10 out of 10 frustration levels.

Q. What do you think made the difference? He was just coming at you constantly. But what do you think made the difference in that one today?

JORDAN THOMPSON: I felt like he served at a high percentage and he served to good spots. You know, I had to play on his terms. I only got one break, and it was an absolute battle to get it.

I do think the balls were slower today. It was harder to get a few free points on serve compared to earlier in the week.

But he played a good, clean match. Yeah, not much else I can say about that.

Q. As the match was kind of slipping away from you in the second set, what was Lleyton saying to you to try and help you get back in the match?

JORDAN THOMPSON: Just, you know, mix a few things up, do what I can to throw off his rhythm. I was having a difficult time doing that with how many good serves he was placing deep or into the corner of the box.

Yeah, sometimes you just got to say, Too good.

Q. What were you pointing to? Looked like you were getting annoyed with one particular corner in the stands. I couldn't pick up what was happening there.

JORDAN THOMPSON: Had Love-30 on his serve. As he was throwing the ball toss up, some guy is fumbling down the stairs, had a little bit of a trip. Obviously he's moving during the middle of the point.

And then a couple of games later I'm serving, and as I'm throwing up my toss, I can see them throwing their arms up. It was just the same group of people. It's incredibly frustrating.

Q. Yeah, I sense your disappointment, of course. Is it worse because you got back on level terms at 5-All?

JORDAN THOMPSON: Yeah, definitely. You know, I worked so hard to just get one break. And then to have it taken straight back out of my hand is, yeah, probably the most annoying thing, especially, you know, he served for the match, probably had some nerves. Got to make him think that maybe he's lost his chance.

But credit to him. I think he had a couple winners in that game and then he hit another couple of winners serving for the match.

Yeah, too good. He played well.
