Q. Jimmy, just talk a little bit about the Classic, why it's so important, why everybody in Florida loves it, and what it means to you to be a part of it.
JIMMY ROBINSON III: It's the Classic. I've been here since 2019, so it's always competitive, and my goal is always to win no matter what our record is.
I always tell my guys, win, lose or draw, I still love them. I'm going after this, so there's still football after me, and I just always point to them, we're going to get better, we've got to get better. It meant a lot to me just to be here.
Q. You mentioned this is your last Classic. Could you speak to what it's like to see the changes from when you first got at Bethune-Cookman to this point where you're seeing new facilities and things like that?
JIMMY ROBINSON III: Everything has changed. I just adapt to it. It's like new coaches, new players, some of the guys left that I started with from 2019. I just wanted to stay where I started at. It's just like holding on to what I'm used to.
Q. Obviously there was a point in the year where pretty much everybody had an opportunity to leave Bethune, but you guys stayed on to carry the crown of the maroon and gold. What went into that, to staying and building at Bethune as opposed to the transfer portal is the easy way for players to transfer?
JIMMY ROBINSON III: I mean, I always looked at it as I'm a transfer, I'm going to have to start over from square one. I'm going to go to another school where coaches don't know me, and I knew I was going to be a leader here, so it's like, stay here and build where I started at. I was chosen as a captain to lead the team, and I feel like I led the team well this year.
Q. Could you speak to what that BCU experience is and what it has meant to you as a student but also as a person?
JIMMY ROBINSON III: It means a lot. It's a tough loss. It's something I've got to deal with for the rest of my life in football, losing to them. But they deserved it. They came out, they fought. Me as a student, it's time to move on into the real world.
