Quick Quotes
Q. Eagle putt on 18 looked agonisingly close but nonetheless that birdie contributed to a 65, putting you just one shot off your fellow countryman. Tell us how you found it out there today.
ZANDER LOMBARD: Yeah, I felt that the rain last night, it was definitely more gettable. Yesterday was quite firm and it was tough, so it was tough to get close. I thought I got close enough on the front nine to have real looks at birdie chances and took the chances I had.
So really started off well on the front nine but kind of just burned the edges on the back. Still played really well but feel like my game has been really good the last couple of weeks. Haven't had the scores to show for it but it paid off today.
Q. You've had a fair few Top 5s season, three times second. You must feel like your first victory can't be far around the corner.
ZANDER LOMBARD: Yeah, it comes when you least expect it. So I'm just keeping my head down and do what I do, and it seems to be working.
Q. What's the mentality for the weekend? Obviously the biggest Rolex Series Event right at the end of the year when some of the guys may be feeling burned out and others trying to get up there.
ZANDER LOMBARD: Yeah, I took the week off before the Nedbank and was home for five days and decompressed and went out to Nedbank, and Nedbank feels like a holiday, anyway, for us. This week, I'm well-rested and I think I have two more good rounds left in me.
