Quick Quotes
Q. All right, joined Ronni Yin after her third round her at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. What's the week been like so far, and specifically this round?
RUONING YIN: I feel like this round I make a lot of putts. Compared to first two rounds today's putter is definitely on fire.
For the last, I mean, first two rounds I feel like my approach shot wasn't -- it just not my game. I did some adjustment about my swing and I feel a little bit better today.
Definitely my putter is going well.
Q. Yeah. Obviously. You had the four birdies in a row on the front. Take us through that stretch and what was going on there.
RUONING YIN: Well, I don't really remember. Wait a second. So No. 4, 4, 5, 6, those are like 15-footers and 20-footers, and 7 is a par-5, and just chip to tap-in, yeah.
Q. Yeah. Absolutely. How does this course suit your game? What have you been able to take advantage of?
RUONING YIN: This green, this green obviously I can read the green very well, and the fairway's quite wide compared to the Asian Swing. I feel like the fairway and the green is quite suit me.
Q. Obviously been a great year for you. How much of a confidence boost has this year been for your game and everything else as we head into CME next week and into next season?
RUONING YIN: I think my caddie give me a lot of confidence because sometimes I kind of doubt myself and my caddie said, I didn't grab the (indiscernible) for no reason. He gave me a lot confidence. I definitely have good time with him on the course.
Q. How long has he been on your bag?
RUONING YIN: Since Canada.
Q. Okay.
RUONING YIN: Probably two months, three months.
Q. When did Player of the Year become a goal of yours this season?
RUONING YIN: After KPMG, because I felt like, oh, I might get a chance to, you know, be the Player of the Year. I just work on that, but Celine play so well this year, too.
Q. Is that something you dreamed of before you joined the LPGA, winning that award?
RUONING YIN: Not really, because I don't know there is a reward like that before I joined the LPGA, so it's kind of -- it's pretty new for me.
Q. In terms of pressure that you feel this week and going into next week, are you thinking about that very much, Player of the Year?
RUONING YIN: No, not really. Once I'm on the curse I just want to focus on my game and enjoy, play golf. That's my goal.
Q. You talked about a hot putter. Was there something in particular that you did to get it hot, technique-wise or just a feeling?
RUONING YIN: I think just feeling, because I'm pretty much a feel player. When I do my warmup this morning I just feel like today maybe it's going to be hot. I kind of feel that, yeah.
Q. Did you buy a house?
RUONING YIN: Not yet.
Q. You're still in Janet's house?
RUONING YIN: Yes. I will be, next year maybe.
