THE MODERATOR: Questions in English, please.
Q. Overall a good day, winning the two singles matches. But do you have any sort of disappointment about the doubles as well, that you couldn't get that third win?
ELISABETTA COCCIARETTO: I'm really happy about today. Martina and Jasmine won the singles, so we are really proud of them and we cheer them, of course.
But, I mean, by our side, we are disappointed because we want always win. We know that they were very good in doubles, so I mean, it was very tough doubles, but in the third set was really tight. All the match, we did great jobs during the match, but sometimes we, me, we could do better.
But we have to learn. We have to keep going and play more doubles, for sure. But, I mean, win a double against two great players would be much better, you know. But we will win next time.
Q. Obviously it's a very tight group, but winning of course the first two matches here, it's a step forward towards getting through the finish line. How do you assess your chances in general after today's performance? Maybe Martina, if you can, because you won the first match.
MARTINA TREVISAN: I don't understand.
Q. How do assess your chances towards progressing through the group stages?
MARTINA TREVISAN: I mean, we are happy with the win. Of course it's better win than lose, of course. Honestly, for me, I wanted to win that match, because every time I go on court I want to win the match. But in the end we won the tie, yeah.
We will see tomorrow. Tomorrow will be another day and will be very tough day, for sure. I think right now everything is still open. Of course we are happy to have from our side, but will be very tough.
So we need to rest, to recovery well, and of course try to bring home also tomorrow. Then maybe we are a little bit closer (smiling).
Q. Following up on that, how are you feeling physically? Of course you have back-to-back ties in that case and you played twice today. How are you physically towards tomorrow? How is going to be the rest?
MARTINA TREVISAN: I mean, of course I'm a little bit tired right now, but it's something normal because I play maybe three hours and a half from singles to the double, but I'm feel quite good.
So I, we, will be ready for tomorrow, yeah.
Q. Tathiana, from your perspective on the bench today, can you just talk about the performances of Martina and Jasmine? What made the difference in their matches for you?
CAPTAIN TATHIANA GARBIN: Well, I'm very proud of all my players. First match of Martina, it's something I learn every time, because she show me how you can do it, a tough start, but if you keep going, keep believing yourself, keep fighting, you can take your chance. She was able to keep it.
So sometimes I'm there and I do have to talk with them, but sometimes I learn from them. So it's a good story, good ending story.
The same was with Jassy. Just mean she played a great match. She push herself through the limit, but every time they wear this skirt, the Italian skirt, they were able to find the energy that sometimes I think they don't find in the normal tournaments, even if it's very important.
Overall I'm so happy. I'm so proud. Feeling confidence for tomorrow.
Q. Alize Cornet said in her press conference, she mentioned how she was feeling a little bit unwell, but most significantly she said that Martina and maybe you, as well, were aware of her obviously having time off court and physically not good, so you changed your tactics. That's what she suggested. Did you change anything from the first to the second set or second to the third set, or you just played your normal game?
CAPTAIN TATHIANA GARBIN: I think Martina, she has a game plan, very focused on her game plan. She had little difficulty in the first set, but she manage well because the mentality she has, she's a fighter, she's one player that she never give up.
She find a way, the solution. It's good to have one leader like this. I think all my players, even Elisabetta, she's so young, but she's a leader. They are all leaders, but they don't crush against each other, you know. They push themself.
It's so beautiful to stay with them, because they are singing in the night, and the next day they pushing so good on court.
So I have to be just proud of them.
