THE MODERATOR: Carlitos, bad luck tonight. What surprised you most in Roman's game?

CARLOS ALCARAZ: Well, he didn't surprise me at all, because I knew that he has, you know, he has been playing a great level these last few months, you know, beating big guys, reaching finals.

I knew that he was going to play a high level. Yeah, he didn't surprise me at all.

THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.

Q. What about you, Carlos? What is your feeling after that game? We probably had the impression that you don't play your high level, for sure. Is there maybe a physical problem for you or not at all?

CARLOS ALCARAZ: Not at all. I just didn't feel well, you know, on the court. A lot of things to improve, a lot of things to practice.

You know, I didn't feel well, you know, in the game. I think I didn't move well. In the shots, I think I had a good quality of shots.

But, you know, physically in the part of movement, I have to improve a lot.

Q. There is less than two weeks before the ATP Finals. Today you think it's enough to prepare to be at your highest level there, or it's too far and too late in the season because it's the end of the season and it's difficult to stay fresh?

CARLOS ALCARAZ: Sorry, say again?

Q. Do you think you have time to be back at your best level for the ATP Finals, or it's just the end of the season and you're too tired, if I should say?

CARLOS ALCARAZ: I don't know. I have time before the ATP Finals, a lot of days of practice to be able to reach that level, the level that I want to play.

But right now I'm not in the right time to talk. Honestly after the loss, I have to take some time, you know, before thinking about the next days, you know, and the days that what I have to do or what I'm gonna do, you know.

But obviously before the ATP Finals begun, we have time.

Q. You're in Paris, and it's another quite early exit for you. What do you think makes it hard for you to win here?

CARLOS ALCARAZ: Well, I don't know. Probably the season has been so, so long. Probably that affect my game.

But I don't know. I think this tournament has a lot of surprise. I don't know, because if it's, you know, the end of the season, players are tired, no?

But talking about myself, I don't know, honestly. I have to figure out and I'll try to the next years to be better in this part of the year.
