Quick Quotes
Q. Another solid round here in Korea. What was working so well for you on this day two?
HAE RAN RYU: I think nothing was working for me today, not at all. But at least I got two birdies when I thought I wasn't going to get any.
Q. Two birdies on your back nine. What was working well on those holes for you, and what do you think you did well to get that birdie done?
HAE RAN RYU: I think towards the end my iron shot got better, but the wind was really weird today, so it was really difficult to make any birdie opportunities. So I was happy to get the first one.
And the second one was a par-5, so, you know, there was absolutely no question that I had to get a birdie there.
Q. What is it like dealing with the different conditions from day one to day two?
HAE RAN RYU: I think hitting the right numbers, because you're choosing different clubs like that you would normally not play just because of the different conditions.
So that was really difficult. Because if you choose different clubs for different holes, it leads to different play. So that was the most difficult.
Q. And a fun grouping for you today. Overall, what was it like playing with your friends Ruoning and Yan?
HAE RAN RYU: So, of course, it was absolutely great to play with some of my closest friends on Tour. They were actually really interested in Korea, so I felt like I was giving them Korean lessons because they kept asking me what is this in Korean, what is that in Korean.
Q. And what will you work on heading into tomorrow now that you've seen the wind swirling and you've been trying to adapt?
HAE RAN RYU: I wasn't too happy with the way I was putting today. So I think I want to get in a little practice today with my putting. And according to the forecast tomorrow, there's supposed to be a little less wind. So I think we really need to try to make birdie opportunities tomorrow.
