THE MODERATOR: We'll get started for questions with Ketel Marte.

Q. You've been here for a while with the Diamondbacks and ups and downs and the 110-loss season. Just to have a moment like this in a game like this, what's that mean to you?

KETEL MARTE: Being one of the oldest guys that had been in the team, I want to give everything that I've got, and this is the right opportunity to show that. And I give credit to the front office for putting this team together. I'm excited to be fighting.

Q. Take me through the last at-bat, please.

KETEL MARTE: I had faced him many times before. I was wild early on, and I was just focusing and trying to make good contact.

Q. You just got a walk-off hit in a postseason game. Is that something that you dreamed of all your life?

KETEL MARTE: It didn't cross my mind in the past as a kid, but I try to have fun out there. When you do that, good things can happen to you too.

Q. You've played for this team for a long time. Do people talk about the Luis Gonzalez hit in the World Series?

KETEL MARTE: Yeah, I've not addressed that as often. I am a man of not too many words, so I haven't talked about too much about the past with other people. I try to stay focused and move on.

Q. To that respect, this is already being called the Ketel Marte game. It's been 22 years since this team has won a game in the NLCS. To win this way, just how does that feel providing this moment for sports fans in Arizona? It's going to live on for a long time.

KETEL MARTE: It feel great. It feels great obviously. I've been battling, and I consider myself a grinder. To come up and come back and give the team a win, it's just the most important thing.

Q. What did you think of the crowd when you ran out on the field today and saw the place full?

KETEL MARTE: In my opinion that's what we needed, right? The support, a little bump or a little push so we can kind of turn it back against them.
