Q. All right, Erica, coming off Stage I, had a good showing at Stage I?

ERICA SHEPHERD: Uh-huh.

Q. Just recently turned pro; now going into Stage II trying to make the Q-Series. Talk about your experience so far of both the qualifying schools and how things have been going this week.

ERICA SHEPHERD: Yeah, it's been a great experience, definitely something different than I think you'll ever experience in golf. Kind of like the stress and tension around it, how many girls there are and different courses. Just a lot going on.

So, yeah, definitely takes a skill to be able to manage all the factors. Just getting that experience early is good.

Q. And then couple under par today gets you near that cut line. What's the mindset heading into tomorrow?

ERICA SHEPHERD: Yeah, well, I started off 2-over after the first day, so my goal was just to kind of creep up every single day. I've done that the past two days, so hopefully just to continue that tomorrow.

Q. And then in a tournament like this, is it a little bit easier to chase when you know you have to go and kind of go low, or would you rather be up near the top?

ERICA SHEPHERD: Yeah, that is the bad part about golf, is the harder you try the worse it gets. You can't really try too hard, like other sports.

You just have to really take it one shot at a time and not really give a crap about anything else.
