Q. Is there a point in the night when you realize that you have your good fastball going, your fastball is going to be good tonight?
CRISTIAN JAVIER: Yeah, I knew that my fastball was going to be good. It was doing exactly what I wanted, and even early on in the game I noticed it was really good.
Q. (Question in Spanish.)
CRISTIAN JAVIER: No, I really didn't feel any pressure there. I was just trying to stay calm and trying to stay focused and trying to stay locked into the game. So I really wasn't focusing on the results or anything like that, just trying to stay focused.
Q. Obviously your fastball was working. How did you feel about your stuff overall?
CRISTIAN JAVIER: Felt very good. Felt very good. I was very happy with everything that the pitches were doing. They were doing exactly what I wanted them to do. I was able to control the strike zone, so I was very happy about that.
Q. You mentioned that you think of Pedro Martinez before your postseason starts. Is there something about Pedro, and have you talked to him after he called you a cold-blooded killer last season?
CRISTIAN JAVIER: No, I haven't had a chance to talk to him yet. Maybe tomorrow or maybe tonight. But my objective is to go out there and help the team.
Q. Yesterday Martin was saying how cold-blooded you are. Does that instill confidence in you, when teammates are saying that?
CRISTIAN JAVIER: Yeah, definitely. There's nothing better -- there's not a better feeling than knowing that your teammates instill their confidence in you. They expect good things in you and put their trust in you.
