THE MODERATOR: Let's welcome our LIV Golf Jeddah presented by Rochin team champions, Fireballs GC. We're joined by captain Sergio Garcia, Eugenio Chacarra and Abe Ancer. Congratulations on your second team win of 2023. Following last week's second place finish in Chicago, you guys are really hitting form at the right time this year. What's your thoughts now heading into the team championships in Miami.
SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah, we're obviously very excited. With all four of us playing solid in Chicago and here, it's exciting. Obviously second and first as a team, but all of us finishing in the top 15, top 20 both weeks, it's really something to look forward to.
We know how much Miami means, so hopefully we'll be able to keep that going and make it fun.
ABRAHAM ANCER: It's definitely nice to feel the team is in form going to Miami. I feel like the golf course is very challenging. I think it suits us well, too, and I think all of us like match play, so it's going to be a lot of fun.
EUGENIO CHACARRA: Yeah, I think they said pretty much everything. We're excited for the week. We're playing great, and we're going to have a lot of fun. Hopefully we can see you guys on Sunday in Miami.
Q. Players can find a form, but how does a team find a form? Obviously you guys are in form right now; you're red hot. How does a team collectively find itself?
SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah, it's no different. At the end of the day, it's just a matter of going out there and hitting the shots. It's as simple as that. Obviously it's easier said than done, but if your guys are playing well, then they're more confident, and we know how challenging foursomes is, so obviously you want to have a couple of guys that are very comfortable within themselves and also with a lot of confidence going in.
I love every possible matchup that we can have.
Q. Abe, you celebrated an individual win obviously here earlier this year. What's it feel like to have the team victory now? You kind of bookend those trophies?
ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, it's really nice. I feel like we all like this golf course a lot. I feel like we've had some really good success. I played with Sergio the last round last year here, and he had a chance to win, as well. I know everybody feels really comfortable with the golf course, and I knew we had a good chance of hoisting the trophy, but like I said, it's easier said than done, and it was nice to have that target and actually do it.
It was nice to do it collectively, and everybody had a really solid tournament.
Q. You guys actually didn't have that much to play for in terms of the seeds. You were pretty locked in. Other teams had maybe more motivation. What was it about this week that ended up you guys getting on top?
SERGIO GARCIA: No, at the end of the day we're all competitors, and we love competing, and that's the main objective.
But at the same time, we wanted to make sure we finished sixth. We didn't want to finish seventh. We didn't want to fall farther down the rankings and then your pick can be totally different.
We did have something to play for.
Q. A year ago you kind of found your form about this same time, obviously when you won in Bangkok. What is it about this part of the year, part of the season that brings out the best in you do you think?
EUGENIO CHACARRA: Yeah, I've been playing great. I wasn't healthy for the start of the year, but now I'm feeling better. I'm working better. I'm becoming not just a better golfer but a better person outside of golf. That's helping my golf, as well, and just being around these guys. They help me every day, teach me a lot, and couldn't be more proud to be here, and hopefully I can keep it up, I can keep playing good, and I can have another good week in Miami for the team.
