Quick Quotes
Q. 4-under 68; if we can get you to comment on your final round.
LUDVIG Ã…BERG: Yeah, I mean, I felt like yesterday and today I was hitting it a lot better. Yesterday especially with the wind being pretty tough, and today the wind was kind of all over the place at times, and it was swirling a little bit. But felt like I did a great job of keeping myself in it and focusing on every shot that I had in front of me.
Yeah, it was a solid day's work.
Q. Eagle on No. 11; take us through that hole.
LUDVIG Ã…BERG: Yeah, as I said, the wind was kind of going back and forth a little bit, but when we got to 11, it was down off the left, which is kind of nice, a par-5 downwind, and I hit my driver quite well and had a 6-iron left to a back right pin. With the water a little bit close short you don't want to put that into play. Hit a great shot to maybe 25 feet, 20, 25 feet, and luckily made the putt, as well.
Q. Were you watching the scoreboards coming down the stretch knowing where you stood?
LUDVIG Ã…BERG: Yeah, absolutely. I like knowing where I stand. I think that's vital to kind of know what you need to do.
Obviously didn't quite make the birdies coming down the last couple of holes that I needed, but we'll see where it kind of ends up, and still proud of the effort today.
Q. After having been mentally exhausted after the Ryder Cup, how pleasing is this to come in and have at least probably a top-3 finish?
LUDVIG Ã…BERG: Yeah, absolutely. I feel like I'm playing well. I'm swinging it nice. For me to kind of come over here to play after Rome was something that I wanted to do, and obviously I think the round on Thursday kind of set the pace a little bit.
It was nice to see a good score coming in, and then I just kept going.
Luckily today I found myself quite close to the lead coming down the stretch.
