Q. To get the obviously one out of the way, what's it like seeing that team on the other side this week?

DAVID PERALTA: We're ready. Feels good. Finally the time's here. We've been working these past days to get ready.

And I can't wait until the game starts. I think we're ready. The team looks really good. Everyone's healthy. It's a titan day.

Q. For you personally is there anything added to it playing the D-Backs?

DAVID PERALTA: I don't care who is over there, to be honest. I don't care who is over there. The D-Backs or another team, we just have to play the game. And when we step onto the line, I'll do whatever it takes to help the team win.

Q. What do you remember about 2017, especially being here and what the atmosphere can be like in October?

DAVID PERALTA: Losing against the Dodgers. That's what I remember in '17 when we played against the Dodgers in the postseason. Now I'm on this side. We're going to do the same thing.

Q. Last time you played in the playoffs was 2017. Just what's the mindset heading into postseason play, just when it matters most?

DAVID PERALTA: I think we have to win each game, just try not to do too much. These guys right here have a lot of experience going into the postseason. I think my last time was a little bit last year with Tampa Bay and the other one was '17 with the D-Backs.

We just have to do the same thing, the same thing we've been doing during the season. I know the energy is going to be crazy, postseason. That's what we're looking for. But I think just control the game, do what I can do to help the team to win.

Q. Doc talked yesterday about -- I think he used the word "joyful" in terms of the chemistry of this team and what goes on in the clubhouse and what have you. And you and Miguel Rojas and Jason Heyward, some of the other guys, can you describe about how that evolved and what role you played in that?

DAVID PERALTA: It's hard to describe, to be honest. We have such a great chemistry. I think the good combination, having like new guys -- Jason Heyward came from a different organization; Miguel came from a different organization; I came from a different organization.

And we all put that together and transferred all the different cultures for each team that we had and just embrace it to the new team. I think everyone bought into.

Like we do everything together. We celebrate together. We do a lot of stuff. We care about each other. There's no selfishness, no ego on this. That's what makes this team really special. That's what we show every single day when we step on to the field.

Q. What kind of reception are you expecting at Chase Field on Wednesday?

DAVID PERALTA: The way I answered, whatever they're going to do, I am concentrating just to help the team. I'm not focused on what's going to happen, how are they going to receive me over there and all this other stuff.

I'm just going to take whatever they give to me and just move on and just concentrate and help the team to win.

Q. The nails look good. Are you feeling ready?

DAVID PERALTA: I'm sweating already. I'm ready.

Q. Your nails, they look good. What did your daughter say heading into today?

DAVID PERALTA: That's for luck. It's coming off. She told me, Daddy, we need to paint your nails because we've got to win tonight. I was like, do your thing.

I only have three on this one. It's coming off. It's for good luck. I'm feeling lucky today.
