Quick Quotes
Q. Joined now by Frida Kinhult. One of your best rounds this week. What was working so well for you?
FRIDA KINHULT: Well, putting was definitely on my side today. A lot of one-putts, which is always good. Saved a few pars. Made a couple birdies. It was super fun.
Q. You had the double, and just when you're having such a clean round, four birdies on the front, one on the back, and the double, what are you telling yourself in that moment? Hey, it's been a good round. Let's not spiral and make those any worse.
FRIDA KINHULT: I was laughing with my caddie. I said, better to take all at once. I kind of saved that double. It wasn't a gimme double. I had to work it in.
No, it happened and I can't do anything about it, so it was a bad shot off the tee and a drop, bad approach shot and bad chip and bad first shot. Everything happened at once.
Hey those things happen. Instead of having it through nine holes, take it all at once, redo on the next tee.
Q. We see the wind whipping. You're seeing it reflecting in the scores as well. How challenging was it out there this morning?
FRIDA KINHULT: It was pretty challenging, and even more wind this morning I think. Pretty cold this morning. It was layers. So, I mean, the ball flew nowhere this morning. It was cold and windy.
So, yeah, no, this course setup is fairly close to what I play at home. Same grass, similar green areas, so I feel pretty comfortable with the course.
Yeah, just trying to have some fun out there.
Q. And last one. It's very tight at the top. What's it going to take to separate yourself from the pack up there?
FRIDA KINHULT: Well, a lot of birdies. No, I think just stick to my game plan, play fairly aggressive, but kind of smart, I guess, and hopefully the ball flies where I'm trying to hit it and hopefully a good Sunday tomorrow.
