Quick Quotes
Q. A really, really solid round, bogey-free 63. Just tell me how proud you are of yourself after how you played today and how awesome it felt.
DORSEY ADDICKS: Yeah, I knew I was playing good on the front. I made some good putts for birdie. All day I didn't have anything crazy long for birdie, but I knew I was playing good, and then turned, and it was like, let's just keep it going, seem how many more birdies we can make. To finish four birdies in a row is pretty awesome. To have a chance to shoot 10-under and lip it out on the last, that's pretty sweet.
Last year here on the third round, I shot 9-under, as well, but I started with a bogey, so we'll take the bogey-free 9-under. Yeah, it's fun.
Q. Your best round of the year so far, and as you mentioned, you played well here last year. What is it about this course that you just really enjoy. I just know it really well. It sets up really well for my ball flight. I know where not to miss it and where to be on shelves and stuff. I just have a good comfortable feel here, and I'm just able to capitalize on it.
Q. Looking at your season as a whole, too, what do you think maybe it is about your comfortability coming back here at the end of the season to keep you going?
DORSEY ADDICKS: Yeah, it's kind of the one week where you've got to use all the gas in the tank. Five weeks in a row, you come in a little tired, but at the same time you know you're done with the season after this week.
For me, it was kind of like let's put it all out there, see what we can get done, and I'm happy to be in the place I'm at and have a chance tomorrow. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Q. I saw the big hug you gave your mom at the end there. What's it been like to have her out here helping you?
DORSEY ADDICKS: Oh, it's been tons of fun. Dad got to caddie last year's 9-under, so mom has got one on the books, too. It's been awesome having her support, and she really doesn't know anything about golf. She knows score and stuff, but swing-wise or how to play a shot, she doesn't really know.
For me, it's kind of a breath of fresh air, just I can do my own thing, get in my own rhythm, and she's just there to take a load off energy-wise.
Q. I noticed you were already pacing off for the pin tomorrow. Is that something you do normally? It looks like you're already looking ahead to the round how to capitalize on tomorrow.
DORSEY ADDICKS: I always am because there's shelves and stuff, so you kind of want to know how much exactly to the back you have or what's the shelf number because you can't always get it exactly shooting it with the range finder. I'm usually doing that from the first round to the second or third round. It's just something kind of to take your mind off golf. Some holes you miss, but no, I enjoy doing it.
