Q. Matt, 8-under today, you obviously enjoyed yourself out there with Mum?

MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: Absolutely. It was a bit drier. It was a bit drier than last year, obviously. Just a really enjoyable day. Obviously great partners with Brett and Bobby. Yeah, just nice weather and really enjoyable day.

Q. What was the highlight of the day?

MATT FITZPATRICK: I'm not sure just I felt like we really joined it out there. We both like the golf course, Kingsbarns. Very relaxed atmosphere. Compared to Kingsbarns and Carnoustie, you can kind of coast a little bit more.

Q. On that sort of note, is it good to get Carnoustie out of the way?

MATT FITZPATRICK: Yeah, always. Always prefer getting that one out of the way. Given how far away it is from where I'm staying, too, I get extra time in bed. So yeah, it's always a good one to get out of the way.

Q. And you mentioned at the start of the week that you didn't think any of the courses suited you but you're doing okay so far.

MATT FITZPATRICK: Yeah, it's one of those play myself down -- don't want to be putting myself up or anything but of the three, I do like Kingsbarns of the three. I just think that's the most enjoyable with the views, the hole designs. I like that one most. That's the only one I felt any affinity to.

Q. Obviously you're coming off the back of an incredible week, how much would it mean to add the title here, back-to-back wins?

MATT FITZPATRICK: Yeah, absolutely. But I mean, it would be great, I think I said it last year, I just want to make the cut with Mum and do well for the team and you never know what can happen.
