Q. All right, I'm here with Siri Patchana after her first round at the Epson Tour Championship. Solid round out there. Just walk us through your round and how your game felt today.

SIRI PATCHANA: It was great. I went out there with the mindset of not expecting anything and just wanted to go out and have fun, play my game, and just focus shot by shot without thinking too much or expecting too much out there.

I started out great. Had some rough patches here and there, but kept my head up and my attitude was really good today. I was just focusing shot by shot, and that just happens.

Q. You definitely turned it up on the back nine. I think you made two pars on the back nine. Was there anything you were telling yourself as you made the turn?

SIRI PATCHANA: I was telling myself just go out there, have fun. Like you don't have to expect too much. Once you start expecting that's when the results are not going to come.

So I'm just giving myself a chance, and if I don't make it, just keep giving myself a chance; eventually I will. Just tell that to myself and just have fun out there. It's really nice.

Q. Was that something you learned this year on tour or something you always carried with you?

SIRI PATCHANA: Definitely. I learned it the hard way throughout the year. It's been tough for me, you know, handling the pressure, handling the expectation that I have with me. It's been really hard, but I've slowly started to get the hang of it and slowly adjust to the pressure, the game, and myself, too.
