Quick Quotes
Q. We have the Spanish-speaking duo, fabulous start, 8-under, lowest score here at Carnoustie, was it easy out there for you?
ADRI ARNAUS: Well, at times it felt easy but this course, definitely can show its teeth, and you've got to be really careful. So yeah, we continued to play quite good and then we roll a few putts. Brilliant start, I would say.
Q. Andy, this is your first ever appearance here at the Dunhill?
ANDY GARCIA: It's my seventh time.
Q. My dad, seventh time. You're a veteran. How much did you enjoy the company today and what was the highlight?
ANDY GARCIA: Watching him play, he's an extraordinary golfer. We played a few years ago, he was playing with Tico Torres, and we were in the same foursome one day.
So I was so happy when I heard I was playing with him because I knew I was getting Secretariat.
Q. Is there some kind of secret chat going on that you can obviously both communicate in Spanish and no one can understand?
ANDY GARCIA: I just say.
Q. How much did you enjoy the Scottish weather?
ADRI ARNAUS: Well, yeah, here, you can get anything, really. But it actually started quite calm and it came around with wind and rain as well. That's really when you are going to expect to be here so you've just got to embrace the challenge.
Q. And Andy, since you have played in this event seven times, do you have a favourite golf course out of the three?
ANDY GARCIA: You know, it's hard to say that because then you might piss off the other two golf courses. So I think they all have different character and they are all extremely hard for us amateurs, and it's a real privilege, really, to be out here.
