St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland
Quick Quotes
Q. Ground today, back here at the Dunhill, you've played a few of those and you obviously enjoy coming to the Home of Golf. Tell us what you enjoy about it.
LAURIE CANTER: I think this is my sixth Dunhill. Obviously St Andrews and this area sort of speaks for itself in the golfing sense. I think coming here, in an event I've been lucky enough to play with my partner, I think this is our fifth year playing and I think it makes a massive difference when you've got a bit of camaraderie with your partner and you can get something going. I think both those things combined with playing here just makes it one of the best weeks of the year.
Q. I think you got pretty lucky with the weather today, a few birdies and an eagle on the card. Any highlights from the round you'd like to talk about?
LAURIE CANTER: Eagle on 4 is nice. I think you're right, we got a great draw in terms of probably playing six or seven holes in pretty still conditions. I think that's basically where I did all my work today, isn't it. I think I was 4-under through seven, so kind of just played steady. Looks like from the forecast, we are going to have some quite spicy weather Friday and Saturday, and possibly Sunday, as well. Looks a little spicy, too.
Hopefully just hang in, see if we get a bit of luck with Carnoustie on Saturday. That's obviously one you'd like to play when it's not coming in sideways. And yeah, just stick it.
