Quick Quotes
Q. Thank you very much for joining us, obviously off the back of a very busy and intense week to say the least but all in all what would you make of your performance today?
MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: Yeah, surprised myself, really. It was a good round. I played pretty solid. Just the nice thing about this event is, you know, the fairways aren't particularly tight, so you can kind of wing it a little bit. So yeah, hit driver pretty well to be fair, and just gave myself a lot of chances and putted pretty well today.
Q. You winging it? Never.
MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: Yeah, yeah. Definitely, definitely.
Q. What is it like playing with your family because an element of it must be quite relaxing and enjoyable, but on the other side of things, it's kind of business as usual, isn't it. What's it like balancing that?
MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: Yeah, totally. I'm willing every putt of Alex's in and obviously every putt of my mum's. It's so nice to play. I feel more relaxed, I think probably because the way the event is, as well; that it is obviously a team event and an individual within the team event.
So for me, it's just an enjoyable week.
Q. Kind of one team event to another team event for the Fitzpatrick family. Are you giving your mum much advice there?
MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: Yeah, plenty. Good friend of mine, Josh, is on the bag for her. He caddied last year as well and he's a great player himself. So he knows what to do. I trust him but every now and again, I'll get involved in some of the lines and stuff and help her read some putts.
