Q. That was a tough finish here at the 18th. How much of a battle was that all day with Rahm?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, it was a good battle. He made some clutch shots, and so did I. I'm obviously a little upset with how it finished, but I fought pretty hard today. The team needed a full point, and I wasn't able to get that done, which is obviously pretty disappointing.

There's still some time left; let's see what happens.

Q. Throughout the match you showed a lot of emotion. We don't see that a lot when you're playing regular on the PGA TOUR in stroke-play. What it is about this event that brings out that type of emotion from you?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Well, you know, when you got a crowd yelling at you for 18 straight holes, it fires you up a little bit. And we were fired up to start today with the stuff that went on last night with the crowd and Patrick, and it was more of that today. But that's what the tournament is all about. That's why it's so much fun.

Q. Was that a rallying point for you guys?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I mean, we needed to rally around something; we were getting our butts kicked to start the day. And so you're always looking for something.

And the way Patrick finished off his match last night I think was big for our team. And then like I said, I was hoping to be able to put up a full point this morning, and disappointed in the finish, but proud of how I fought today.
