THE MODERATOR: Welcome to the press conference of Wang Xinyu.

Welcome. How do you feel to be back here and play once again in Beijing?

WANG XINYU: Well, I'm really excited to be back and compete again in China. It's been a while. I'm really looking forward to play in front of the home crowd.

THE MODERATOR: Questions in Chinese.

Q. You've had really good performances this year. A lot of Chinese players in 2022, even before that, had some challenges. I would like to ask you, 2022, what did it mean to you in your career? Any improvement? Any reflections on that?

WANG XINYU: Thank you for the question.

2022 was very challenging for me. I improved a lot this year. I had more experience in matches, deeper understanding of myself. I made changes based on that.

Q. It's been three years since you played here in terms of singles and doubles. Now you are a champion in a Grand Slam doubles. When you are facing the fans as well as staff, do you feel any difference?

WANG XINYU: Of course, it's always friendly to come back. I just came back. My first stop on the tour in China. Very happy to see a lot of friends.

Q. In the Asian Games, your partner was injured. How is her injury? Talk about yourself, too.

WANG XINYU: Recently I have played many matches. I did not have much time to rest. I've been very active in terms of recovery. I want to do my best here.
