TV Quick Quotes
Q. I was watching you when Anirban missed that putt. You held your head in your hands. This is kind of bittersweet, isn't it.
BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: I wanted to be in a playoff with Ban. He's worked his butt off all year, and look, I couldn't be happier that I won, but I feel so bad for Ban. I wanted to go into a playoff and battle it out with my brother. I love him to death. He's a grinder. He had this one, but I just luckily snuck in there and took it down today.
Q. He's come so close so many times. His time will come; you're sure of that?
BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: No doubt. He is too hard of a worker, too good of a golfer and even a better person. That's why I love him on the team, that's why I love him for all the camaraderie and I can't think highly enough about him.
Q. I wasn't out there with you, but someone just told me the putt on 12, was that the key moment?
BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: Oh, yeah, flipped everything. I couldn't believe it. I kind of chunked a 9-iron a little bit and -- drove the green on 11, chunked a 9-iron, had an 80-footer, and I'm just trying to lag it up there, but it was going like 75, but it strikes the flag, and I took some paint off that flag, but it went in, and I dropped to the ground; I was like, I can't believe I just made that, and I just went on a roll from there.
Q. Are you playing the best golf of your life, better than ever?
BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: I would say the most consistently good golf of my life. I don't know if it's the top-notch but definitely when I shot 58 that was probably the best golf I've ever played, and winning the U.S. Open obviously is the ultimate thing. I played the best golf there, too. But I can definitely tell you this little stretch has been pretty sweet for me.
Q. You guys are really close friends out here.
BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: I love them. I can't think highly enough about each and every individual, how outstanding they are, just from a complementary point of view. You look at them each as individuals, but as a team together, we're pretty dominant force, I can tell you that.
