THE MODERATOR: Questions for Jelena.
Q. How do you feel here in Guadalajara?
JELENA OSTAPENKO: It's nice to be here. It's a nice place. Yeah, it's good tournament. I always like to come here.
Q. Recently you celebrated, in women's tennis, 50 years of equal payment. Where do you see women's tennis in 10 years or the evolution? How do you imagine it?
JELENA OSTAPENKO: I mean, I think it's getting better and better with the quality and the prize money and all these things. I think it's good that the WTA is doing better and trying to be similar to the ATP.
Q. After the quarter final in the US Open, how do you feel for this tournament? Last year you made it to third round. What do you expect this year?
JELENA OSTAPENKO: I mean, I don't expect anything. I just take one match at a time. It's not easy to play here because it's altitude. But, yeah, I played quite well here last year, so hopefully this year I can play even better.
Q. What do you think is the importance of having sponsors on the tour for a player, for a tennis player?
JELENA OSTAPENKO: What do you mean?
Q. The support of a principal sponsor for a player.
JELENA OSTAPENKO: I mean, of course it's important.
Q. At this point in your career and as a partner in a sports company, is it difficult to find new sponsors?
JELENA OSTAPENKO: I don't really understand these questions, to be honest.
Q. How do you think about the Mexican fans and the conditions on this place?
JELENA OSTAPENKO: Mexican what?
Q. Fans.
JELENA OSTAPENKO: I mean, they're really nice. They're very emotional. I like it. They are loud and, yeah, hopefully there will be a lot of people supporting me when I play.
Q. What do you think about Guadalajara in the calendar?
JELENA OSTAPENKO: What do you mean?
Q. What do you think about this place in the WTA calendar?
JELENA OSTAPENKO: I mean, it is what it is. Of course it's a nice tournament, but the scheduling this year is not very good for the players. But, yeah, it's a nice tournament. There is nothing to do with the tournament, it's just the way the WTA is doing scheduling.
