Q. How do you evaluate today's round, the lowest you've carded here so far?

ADRIAN MERONK: Very pleased. To be honest I played great yesterday in the Pro-Am. Went on a birdie run for like eight holes. Had a good vibe going in the first round, and I'm very pleased with my 67, yeah.

Q. What are the big challenges out there at the moment? Obviously the rough has grown up but there's a real premium on leaving the ball on the right side of the pin. What are you facing?

ADRIAN MERONK: Yeah, definitely, the greens are tricky. The rough around the greens is very tricky as well and you have to hit a lot of solid shots. It's a proper golf course. The good shots are rewarded as well because the greens are rolling perfectly. I just enjoy playing here.

Q. I know you enjoyed the opportunity to defend your title back in Ireland last week. How much do you enjoy these big Rolex Series Events with all the crowds?

ADRIAN MERONK: Yeah, I played three rounds with Rory last week, that so that helped a lot to be honest. I think that was the best preparation you can get.

But I don't mind it. I think it's a great tournament. Last week and this week is one of the best tournaments during the year. So it's great to be here and yeah, I hope I can play -- keep playing well.
