Quick Quotes
Q. Out there with Rory and Viktor on this fantastic stage, the atmosphere here at the BMW PGA Championship has that major are feel to it. How much did you enjoy the day?
LUDVIG ABERG: It was great. A little bit more people than I'm used to following me around. It was really fun playing with those two guys. Obviously the level of golf that they can do is pretty amazing and for me to watch that is pretty cool.
I was kind of walking around and then almost pinched myself in the arm on the fairways but really enjoyed it, and proud of the way I handled it today.
Q. Do you feel that the atmosphere, all of these crowds, the grandstands, everything is grander here, enhances your performance? Is it something you enjoy?
LUDVIG ABERG: Yeah, I think so. I think this is what I've been wanting to do for such a long time, and for me to actually be here, to actually play in these events that I've watched for such a long time is pretty cool.
But you know, I try to embrace it and I try to have fun with it and take it for what it is and try to have fun with it.
Q. It was a steady start to your round but it was from the 11th hole, like you just moved into a different gear, something clicked, something happened and you came alive and we were all stuck to the screen. What happened from your point of view?
LUDVIG ABERG: I hit some nice iron shots. I feel like this golf course is pretty straightforward. If you put the ball in front of you off the tee, you get a lot of mid-irons. Luckily today I hit a few nice ones and obviously made a few putts as well. I think that's what I've got to keep doing and just take it for what it is.
Q. Obviously it's a big couple of weeks, we are into the closing stretch to Marco Simone and you have some coaches out there, we saw Peter Hanson out with you walking down the fairways. What role does he have on your team?
LUDVIG ABERG: Yeah, for sure, I've gotten to know Peter quite well over the last year, year and a half, something like that, and he brings so much experience to the table. He brings a lot of knowledge and I think he resonates in a very healthy and sound way.
I really enjoy spending time with him, and to have him here is pretty cool and just to have normal conversations about things. And you know, he's got -- he's been there, he's done it, and for me wanting to get to there, it would be foolish for me not to take advantage of that.
