Q. Different story on this Saturday, 1-over 73 but the good news is, one shot off the lead heading into Sunday. What is your assessment of this up-and-down round?

JORDAN SMITH: It's completely different to the first few days, wasn't it. If you were to say I would be hundred behind going into the final round, I would have taken it. I'm in a great position and yeah, looking forward to tomorrow.

Q. How do you deal with the moment of tomorrow from past success you've had to knowing there's going to be a lot of fans out here following one man in particular?

JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, it's going to be good fun playing with Rory. But I mean, I've just got to stick to my own game. Ball-striking is fine. Just a few unlucky breaks today.

Yeah, I look forward to it. It will be great. The crowds will be great. It will be loud and just hopefully the weather sticks.

Q. It's been a funny odd day in the last three groups across the for, 73, 1-over, and you find yourself in the last group tomorrow. How do you reflect on today?

JORDAN SMITH: I was just saying, it's completely different to the first two days. But if you had said I'd be one back going into the final round, I would have taken it. Looking forward to it, playing with Rory, obviously in front of his home crowd, there will be a lot of people. It will be a lot of fun.

Q. What's it going to be like going against him on Irish soil with all these fans rooting for him?

JORDAN SMITH: You know who they are all going to be rooting for, definitely. Like I said, it's going to be good fun. Just hope to put on a good show for everyone.

Q. What's been the major factor with the disparity in scoring. Is it the pins?

JORDAN SMITH: To be fair, there are a few out there that are really, really tricky. The greens are firming up. The rough's getting a bit fiery. I think the pins definitely made a factor today. I missed the fairway a couple of times and just had to chip out. The lies and the rough here are all so long and juicy that you've just got to take your medicine.

Q. You look at possibly your third DP World Tour title. What would it mean to win here?

JORDAN SMITH: It would be great to get that win. I'm not really going to worry about it too much. If it happens, it happens. I'm just going to go out there and have fun. Yeah, it's going to be good fun tomorrow.
