Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Ruixin Liu after the second round of the Kroger Queen City Championship. Another great day of play. Can you walk us through your round today?
RUIXIN LIU: I was really kind of struggling a little bit at first. My swing wasn't very pretty today, so I wasn't have that many chance to put it close.
So I was took advantage of the hole No. 12, the reachable par-5, and 16, 17, 18 kind of feel like a bonus because I was put it very close.
Once I turn to my back, which is the front nine, the luck just turned, because on hole No.4 I drove it very pretty. I thought I cannot reach the bunker on the left, but I drove it like 312 and ended up in the downhill lie in the rough.
So I can't really hit it anywhere. I have to get it out in the rough.
And then my third shot I thought I hit it pretty, but then it bounced on the green, went back to the back bunker, and hang on the back side of the bunker again. So I have to use a hybrid to chop to the rough and save a bogey.
So it was pretty tough. I'm glad to come back in the red number.
Q. Sounds like a grinding type of day. Anything you were going into today hoping to accomplish, stay in the moment?
RUIXIN LIU: Well, not really. I try to keep my expectation low, like yesterday, because I know if I get nervous or if I expect something to happen the swing will not perform the way it should be. So I try to keep calm out there.
Q. And after the two different rounds you've had the past two days, anything tonight or tomorrow before you warm up you're looking to do?
RUIXIN LIU: Not really. I didn't even practice a single shot yesterday after my round. I'm just trying to do what I'm doing the last two days. I'm very happy the way it turned out, yeah.
