Quick Quotes
Q. All right, I'm here with Charley Hull after the second round of the Kroger Queen City Championship. Great round today. 4-under. Can you walk us through the two pairs of birdies you had?
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, pretty good. I felt like I left a lot of shots out there today. A lot of putts, but I felt like I putted pretty well as well.
It was quite tricky in the afternoon. There was quite a lot of spike marks out on the green, even though you can tap them down. Still not the same as fresh greens.
Yeah, two good birdies on the front nine, two good birdies on the back nine; feeling positive for tomorrow.
Q. Anything you notice in your game different today versus yesterday?
CHARLEY HULL: Not really, no. Pretty similar.
Q. Only missed two fairways in 36 holes. Pretty impressive.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah.
Q. I know you were working on something with your takeaway with your coach. Is that still --
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, just my back wing. Yeah, still working on it, still practicing it. But I feel like I've got it now, but, yeah, just out there enjoying it and just can't wait to go home.
Q. You were just home. Do you feel kind of refreshed after taking some time away?
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, well, I only play a maximum two weeks on the tour, I never play three weeks.
So, yeah, I just felt like being at home for like seven weeks because obviously we played in Europe. I was playing a lot of events, but still it feels like home. It's a bit more manageable.
But, yeah, I'm just excited to go home now.
Q. Why does that fill you up so much? Is it just being around your family? Is it food?
CHARLEY HULL: Just in England. I just love England. I like how you can walk down the street. You don't have to drive everywhere. Even though I drive. I just miss my friends.
Just knowing that my people is back there, and then I want to see someone at like 1:00 in the morning I can just drive and see someone. Where you're just so far away in America. You're just always by yourself.
Q. You spend a lot the time with your nephew from what I saw on social media.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, yeah.
Q. How much does that just fill you up?
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, I've got two nephews. My oldest nephew is 22, and my youngest nephew, he's just turned three. Yeah, honestly he's a naughty boy, Ralph is, but I love him. He's so rough and likes boxing, likes, football, and likes golf and I love it. He's a proper boy's boy.
Q. You said something about your putting. What have you been able to figure out the greens out here? I know they're a little tricky.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, they're a little tricky. I just feel like there a little bit -- what's the word -- a lot of the spike marks, but, yeah, I feel like I'm actually putting pretty well.
