Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Morgane Metraux after the second round of the Kroger Queen City Championship. Great playing today.
MORGAN METRAUX: Thank you.
Q. Can you walk us through those birdies you had out there?
MORGAN METRAUX: Yeah, both days I started a little cold. Didn't make putts at the beginning of the round, and just kept playing steady, kept hitting my spots on the fairways and on the greens, and a few started falling on the back so it was pretty fun.
Q. Looks like you lit up the back nine. Is there anything in particular you like about the back nine?
MORGAN METRAUX: Actually did the opposite yesterday, so played better on the front yesterday. So I don't prefer one way or the other. It just somehow happened to be my back nine both days.
Q. Is there something you're telling yourself to stay in it and light up the back nine each day?
MORGAN METRAUX: Not really. I just try to stay as patient as I can. I know I'm playing good, so it's just a matter of when the putts are going to fall. So that's what I did and they did end up falling.
Q. Only one bogey in the last two days. Is there a certain part of your game you attribute that to? I noticed even on 18 how much you're having to land the ball shorter. Is there something like that in your game now that leads to only one bogey?
MORGAN METRAUX: I think it's mostly course management, to be honest, because this course has a lot of bunkers exactly where the landing spots are if we hit driver off the tee. I've actually been hitting very few drives off the tee. Been hitting a lot of 3-wood, 5-wood, trying to stay out of trouble as much as possible, use the widest parts of the fairways, and then stay on the correct side of the pin; land it short when needed.
So mostly just decision making.
