Q. You also shot a really good round yesterday. Was there anything different that you thought about today compared to yesterday?

XIYU LIN: Like I said, I mean, the first round, after front nine I thought I'm going home after Friday, but then I just fought through it.

And first of all I'm very proud of myself making the cut. Then I know this course everyone is going to fire at it and even the earlier score shows that. I kind of know what the momentum is going to be, so trying to be as aggressive as I can.

Obviously this cause one little mistake, that bogey, but I think overall it's pretty good.

Q. Compare your front nine on the first day to the front nine today. It was incredible today.

XIYU LIN: Yeah, I just start off so rusty. I don't know why. Like I wasn't trusting the process. I wasn't ready for the weather. I feel like -- I told myself, you've been out here long enough. You should know how to deal with all this.

So I kind of put it back, tried to get it back together, and I think it's not bad.

Q. How do you manage such a great first nine today? You had like five birdies in the first nine, maybe six.

XIYU LIN: Could be even more. I miss a really short one on the par-5 and then I bogey the next hole.

I think, like I said, I just stay aggressive. This course, especially the front nine when there is no wind there is a lot of short irons in your hands, and you just kind of have to go but also control the spin at the same time.

That's the tough part for me. And still couple of holes I don't know how to get it close to the hole, but those hole I save par most of them, and when I had a chance I really went for it.

Q. A couple strokes back of the lead. Does that make you excited because you're going to be able to chase again tomorrow, be aggressive tomorrow?

XIYU LIN: I think no matter what the strategy going to be the same, because this course, like anyone can shot a 9-, 10-under. You just never know.

I like my position. I'm not going to put too much pressure on myself. I'm just trying to go out, have another good round, and see what I put myself into.
