C. WOZNIACKI/P. Kvitova
7-5, 7-6
THE MODERATOR: Not the result you were expecting, but your overview of the match. Two tough sets.
PETRA KVITOVA: Yeah, it was for sure. But I knew that. It's always tough to play Caro, even she didn't play for a few years. Didn't feel that she was away.
Yeah, it was a big fight tonight. I didn't bring the best from myself today, for sure. Was feeling a little bit flat with energy. I couldn't put myself to the better position.
Yeah, she played good tennis. That's what I expected. That's what she showed.
THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.
Q. Stomach bug going around. How are you feeling?
PETRA KVITOVA: Yeah, I don't feel the best, but I going to not blame my loss because of the health.
Yeah, I'm struggling with the healthy since Montreal, but that's how it is. That's how I went to the court today.
Q. What did Caroline say to you at the net and you said to her? Did she hit her forehand tonight better than previously?
PETRA KVITOVA: Well, I wished her good luck, obviously. That was it.
I think her forehand, it's same as before. I'm not sure if it's better or no. I didn't feel the ball was really flying tonight. It's really tough to describe, of course. To be honest, I don't really remember our matches before.
The time is flying pretty fast. Definitely she served pretty well, which I've been surprised today a little bit, as well. Definitely she showed some good tennis.
Q. What is the challenge of playing someone who gives away so few errors?
PETRA KVITOVA: Well, of course it's tough. I mean, every comeback is tough, as well. It feels like you have nothing to lose playing the night session on the big court against a player which you don't have anything to lose. I think it's always a little bit easier to play. Of course, I'm not saying it's Caro case, but it felt like this to me tonight.
