Quick Quotes
Q. All right, Nanna, a bogey-free day today. Just as you walk away from the course, what were some of the differences in conditions that you had from day one to day two?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: I was really grinding around trying to find fairways today; did not manage to find that many. I ended up having to play with my 3-wood.
But I made it around and happy with the 3-under.
Q. We talked yesterday about your safe driver. What did you do after yesterday's round to kind of refocus going into today? I saw you on the range for a little bit. Just overall did you have to feel like you had to go back to that today?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: Safe driver didn't even work today, so... I was trying but it didn't work.
Yeah, I had to go all the way down to 3-wood, even a hybrid sometimes. Yeah, worked a little bit on it on the range a little bit yesterday, but it was raining and it's been a long day so you didn't want to stay too long. You had to go out early in the morning.
Yeah, hopefully I can find something this afternoon.
Q. Three birds is better than none. To come away from a bogey-free round when you're talking about, like we talked about yesterday, when things aren't necessarily all clicking; what does it mean to still walk away with no bogeys on the card?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: I mean, I think that's really impressive with the way I played today. I could have seen more -- like six birdies and three bogeys, but bogey-free, I did not expect that. Yeah, happy to be able to grind it out.
Q. Those birds on the card, what was working well on those holes for you?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: Made one long putt and -- what else did I do? Hit it close; made some good putts.
Q. So when the driver isn't working and you have to scramble between the clubs there, what does it say about your iron game, approach play, the way that you're able to be aggressive on a course like this especially when you're not in the middle of the fairway?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: Well, I feel like right now if I could just get my driver to work I would be able to compete out here and play for trophies, so I just really hope that I can find that soon. It tells me that the rest of the game is actually doing very well, yeah.
Q. What will you do for the next couple of hours as you work through maybe some of those instances on the range? Are you one to not get too much into your head or do you just go into tomorrow with a clear mindset?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: I know I'm not going to have a good driver tomorrow. It's been going on for more than just a week. If I can find something that's going to go in the fairway, that's what I'm going to try and find this afternoon.
