Q. All right, here with Danielle Kang after her first round at the Portland Classic. Take me through your round today. What were some of the notable shots, birdies out there? I know it was pretty solid round for you.

DANIELLE KANG: Honestly I'm just having a lot of fun out there. I have one of my best friends on the bag, and there is so many things I've been working on that I feel like I'm really headed in the right direction.

So I'm progressing in the right way, and just kind of want to trust what I'm working on. It was really good today. I hit a lot of fairways, a lot of greens, gave myself a lot of looks at birdies and made five of them. Bogey-free 67, so it was a good, solid day.

Q. Love it. What were some of the things you're working on? Anything you want to share?

DANIELLE KANG: You know, it's just golf, right? It's not just one or two swing thoughts. It's just mostly like me working on getting back to kind of playing the way I want to play. I think that just takes time for me.

I think we're headed towards the end of it and I'm kind of excited for that. Just kind of trying to figure out how to enjoy it out there more.

Q. Awesome. I do want to ask one Solheim question: How has the excitement building up for Solheim, how has that affected your mentality, your game, as you use these weeks to get ready for Solheim?

DANIELLE KANG: It's pretty exciting. It's something that I look forward to. It's probably my favorite event, you know.

Having Stacy Lewis as our captain, we got some great -- we have a good team, but Europe has an unbelievable team as well. I think it'll just be a really good match coming up in Spain.

We have a young team but they're so good at golf. I'm just excited for the showcase they're going to put up, Team USA and Europe.

So I'm excited to be a part of it.

Q. Stacy mentioned yesterday asking you guys to do some things to prepare for Solheim. Has she asked you to do anything? Anything in your game or any balls or anything to get ready for Solheim?

DANIELLE KANG: I think you got to ask Stacy that. (Laughter.)
